New from 9 Soundware is the Voice Code ($14.99 MSRP) collection of presets for Apple Logic Pro's EVOC 20 vocoder. These presets delve further into the vocoder's possibilities as an instrument and an effects processor.

Voice Code includes presets for all three variants of the EVOC 20; there are 30 settings for the EVOC 20 PS and 10 each for the EVOC 20 TO and EVOC 20 Filterbank plugins. For example, the collection includes types that emphasize articulation or remove intelligibility, types that are driven by heavy LFO modulation, and those that create aggressive colors. All in all, Voice Code contains 50 .pst files.

Note that the preset collection's compatibility with Logic 9 has not yet been confirmed, and 9 Soundware will release Voice Code product updates as necessary, that are up to code with the current version of Logic. For more information, visit 9 Soundware's Web site.
