Hohner HTA490 Artist: The Purple One's Guitar -- Grimace Signature Model
Hohner's new HTA490 Artist won't make you play like Prince, and it won't get you the wagon of tail that Prince probably gets, but it'll at least give you tools to shoot out that funk buildup that's been rattling around in your funk chambers for quite some time. We hear how incredibly funky this thing is in this nice little clip, and we hear about how it was constructed to match Prince's trusty guitar down to a T minus headstock.

HOHNER REPRESENTATIVE: So this is the HTA490. It's the remake of the guitar that Prince has played for about the past 30 years. It's identical to what he's playing except for the headstock. The headstock has been changed slightly, but on the pickups and the finish and everything else is exactly the same, and it also comes in this really cool purple Plush Line case, you can see that, and the Artist is the name of the guitar and it's kind of on the case there, stenciled. And this is shipping in about two weeks. This is actually a production model that I'm playing right now and has a retail price of $1,049.99 and it's a great guitar for anyone who likes to play funky rhythm stuff.
