Applied Acoustics Systems Strum Acoustic Session: Simpler Strumming Saves $$$
Applied Acoustics Systems has released a stripped down version of Strum Acoustic GS-1, giving producers a more cost-effective option without some of the frillier features. It's called Strum Acoustic Session, and it's simpler and more straightforward than GS-1, although it does use the more professional GS-1 as a basis for its sounds and features.
Both programs cater towards realistic guitar sounds you can control via keyboard. Session's voicing module takes keyboard chords and plays them in a more acoustic guitar-like fashion in both steel and nylon string variations.
Session also includes an auto-strum function that reproduces strumming actions. Other methods of reproduction include special strumming keys, MIDI loops and abstinence-only education. Throw in an EQ module and a reverb module, and that's Strum Acoustic Session in a nutshell.
I'll leave you with a quote from Marc-Pierre, the CEO of Applied Acoustics Systems:
“Strum Acoustic Session is an easy-to-use and versatile tool for keyboardists who need to create acoustic guitar tracks. This new Session Series instrument is the perfect solution for musicians who don’t need the extra programmability of the Professional Series version but still need its capability to reproduce the playing technique of guitar players.”

This is the point some
This is the point some keytarist starts getting hot and bothered.
