Applied Acoustics Systems Strum Electric GS-1:Yo Ho Ho And A Bottle Of Strum
Fresh off the heels of Strum Acoustic GS-1, Applied Acoustics Systems announces that Strum Electric GS-1 is next on the agenda. This electric guitar software synthesizer plugin will be a boon for producers who don't know a pick sweep from Supermarket Sweep, which is pretty bad considering how one is a popular way for metalheads to arpeggiate while the other is a slightly less popular grocery oriented game show from the 90s hosted by Libertarian Party member David Ruprecht.
Physical modeling benefits Strum Electric with focus on pickup types, strings, amplifiers, speaker cabs and effects. An elaborate voicing module matches up how a producer would play a chord on a keyboard to the way that chord would be played strummed on a guitar. In addition to strumming, you get techniques like palm-muting, picking actions and more.
Marc-Pierre Verge, the CEO of AAS, looks forward to the release:
"Strum Electric includes both the modeling of the guitar and the amplifier. Add to this the integration of guitar player technique, automatic voicing, and effects and you obtain a really versatile tool that is able to recreate about any electric guitar sound. Strum Electric is the keyboardist's perfect solution for the creation of great electric guitar tracks."
