Ableton Schwarzonator And Ableton KJ Sawka Live Packs Free From Ableton.com
New Ableton freeware, Schwarzonator and Mad Beatz, has been posted for your download enjoyment.
Schwarzonator is a Max for Live patch by the Berlin-based jazz / soul / electronica legend, Henrik Schwarz (shown on left). According to Schwarz, the Schwarzonator is a note twister meant to help you find the right notes and chords in real-time. It turns one-finger playing into chords that fit well together. You can choose from a list of Chord Sets in a drop down menu, and then all notes played on your keyboard will fit into the selected Chord Set. The Schwarzonator comes with companion device Little Brother, which applies chord changes from the Schwarzonator onto other tracks. Max for Live is required.
Ableton has also released two free Live Packs by drumming sensation KJ Sawka. The first Live Pack, Mad Beatz, is a collection of drum 'n’ bass, dub step, and breakbeat sounds created during a live acoustic drumming session recorded at the Art Institute in Seattle, Washington. Mad Beatz includes an impressive set of electronic drum loops, percussion, basslines, and keyboard riffs, notes KJ Sawka.
His second Live Pack includes a combo twist of drum funk and drum 'n' bass taken from his new song "Void of Truth." The KJ Sawka Live Packs require Live 8.1 or higher. To download your own copies of the Schwarzonator or the Live Packs, visit ableton.com.
