Access Atomizer And Speak And Spell

With his trusty and edutaining Speak & Spell at hand, Jason Donnelly prepares to use the Access Virus TI and Access Atomizer to completely twist up the stern but gentle electronic voice that taught him how to spell. In this video, DJ Puzzle demonstrates how to get everything all connected since most children's toys aren't initially designed as input sources for electronic music.

4 minutes of nothing?

"Let me look around the room" "Needs batteries" etc.

Why was the camera rolling during this? Anybody who owns a Virus and Speak n Spell knows how to connect them. Audio examples and their interface locations are what we need to hear/see.

Prepare first, then roll tape please.

What a pile of cack! I couldn't believe that 4 minutes had passed by and not one single sound, other than his droning voice, came out of my speakers. Spell idiot J.a.s.o.n... D.o.n.n.e.l.l.y. Sry m8 but you deserve all you get. Try learning what the atomizer does before you go wasting valuable server space on telling or showing us nothing.

JASON DONNELLY: Jason Donnelly with Gearwire.Com and the Access Atomizer. Okay, well so I guess the first thing we need to do is figure out what we're going to use as an audio source, and by audio source I mean what are we going to jack into the input of the Virus TI and completely mangle with the Atomizer? I kind of want to make this a little more interesting so hmm, let me look around the room here and I'll see what I can find.

How about an old Speak & Spell? I think it needs batteries.

[JASON TESTS SPEAK & SPELL]

Oh, this may be interesting, so [JASON MANIPULATES SPEAK & SPELL]. When it just asked me to spell "earth", now it's telling to spell "A". How hard is that? Okay. So, let me get a - it looks like we're going to need a stereo mini-plug and a Y-adapter to a pair of 1/4" adapters and that'll go into the inputs on the Virus TI, shis ought to work. We've got our little mini-plug, stereo mini-plug, Y-adapter being converted over to 1/4". Those are going to get plugged to the back of the Virus TI. Let me show you that.

So here in the front you can see where our inputs are labeled, right there input left and right. I got multiple outs and smaller neat things; they really thought everything on this board. So, here's our input, 1 and 2, left and right here on the Virus TI. I got my cheap little wire adapter thing going on.

Our Speak & Spell is connected to the input of the Virus TI. Now all we need to do is enable the Atomizer. So, the first thing you're going to do is press your Edit button, which is right here, and use your parameter button to scroll through the different pages, let's see [JASON VOCALIZING LASER GUN SOUNDS], and I get to the Edit Single page, and we have two options here: We have Atomizer and Input Mode. When you close up on that, this is what it will look like. We need to turn the Atomizer on. By doing that, you simply can use the Value + -- er, I'm sorry, the value knob here and you have settings on and then you have 2 through 10 -- no, actually 2 through 16, and I don't know what that means yet so I'm going to look that up and I'll tell you in just a moment.

So, Atomizer is on so I'm assuming that it's activating the input. See, press Edit, use the Parameter keys to locate the Inputs page and select Atomizer "on". Normal mode is on; please select this value. If it is your first time with Atomizer, for your information, the other settings, please refer to the Paragraph entitled "Alternative Atomizer Modes". Alternatively dial up Virus Control and select Atomizer preset from the list of presets in the Access folder. Whatever that means, I am going to figure that our and take you to the next step.

Our Atomizer is turned on and Speak & Spell connected to the input so stay tuned. Jason Donnelly with Gearwire.Com and the Access Atomizer.
