At MusikMesse 2010, coming up in just a couple days, Adam Audio will introduce its AX Series of studio monitors, which includes the new A3X and A8X models. This line follows the company's prior A Series and SX Series of monitor systems, and smartly puts features from both series into the AX.

The AX Series includes four high-performance systems, each of which have something slightly different to offer than the others. There is the highly compact A3X, the revised A5X and A7X, and the new mid-field A8X system that sits at the top of the line.

The AX monitors sport the X-ART tweeter, which replaces the ART tweeter found in the SX Series units. The X-ART tweeter features higher efficiency and maximum sound pressure level, plus a frequency response up to 50 kHz. All woofers and amplifiers in the new series have also been reengineered with larger voice-coils and amps with twice the power for higher linear excursions and more output. AX cabinets have been redesigned as well, and all models have two bass reflex ports.

As fully revised versions of the company's A Series, the A5X and the A7X are said to be just like the A Series monitors, but better. More information is expected to be released as we get closer to Musikmesse; until then, further details are available from Adam Audio's Web site, adam-audio.com.
