ADAM Audio Sub7 Effortlessly Carried To Winter NAMM Show
If you want your home studio to be as tricked out as your Honda Civic, you need a kicking subwoofer, but if you understand the principles of overkill and monitoring, you're not just going to rip the sub out of your trunk and plop it down on your desk. ADAM Audio introduces the Sub7 at Winter NAMM 2009, a compact subwoofer perfectly matched for ADAM Audio A-Series monitors.
The convenient size of the Sub7 makes it easy to fit somewhere, even in small spaces. Its front panel incorporates two motorized controls for input level and crossover frequency settings that allow you to set your Sub7 to suit your environment. The Sub7 also includes a wireless remote control that lets you control these knobs from your favorite listening spot.
The Sub7 also includes balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA input and output connectors. A 0 / 180 degree phase switch and selectable 85 Hz highpass ensure a level of flexibility that allows the Sub7 to best fit the room and system. It's low cutoff frequency is 31 Hz -- not too shabby for something so unobtrusive.
Aesthetically, the Sub7 comes with your choice of ADAM matte black or a new "piano gloss" finish in either black or white to cosmetically match the A5. The Sub7 also lends itself beyond audio recording applications to mobile and broadcast, surround set-ups and personal multimedia use.
