Adams Concert Bass Drums Debut
Just in time for football season, which for us means pep band and marching band season, Adams Concert Instruments has released its new Concert Bass Drums. These bass drums deliver full, deep, chest-resonating tones and are ideal for any ensemble that requires some real depth of impact from percussion, according to Adams.
The band and percussion instrument maker is now offering the mahogany Concert Bass Drums in four different shell diameters -- 28-inch, 32-inch, 36-inch, and 40-inch -- with each diameter available in either 18- or 22-inch depth shells for extra fullness.
The 40- x 22-inch drum with the Adams Field Frame Stand was featured in the Drum Corps International competition this summer with stellar ensembles such as the 2010 DCI World Champion Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps. Go Blue Devils. Whether they are being used with a full orchestra in a hall or with an outdoor music ensemble, these instruments can support your ensemble and bring out the fullest in sonic potential, notes the manufacturer.
Adams Concert Bass Drums come standard in a lacquer finish, with 2-inch wide wooden hoops, Remo Fiberskyn III heads, and a swivel tension-rod design to ensure perfect head seating. Each model is packaged with and ready to mount on the Adams Suspended Bass Drum Stand, and the 40 x 22 is available either with indoor wheels or field wheels.
