AKG Perception 120 USB: AKG Increases Its Range Of Perception (USB Microphones)
Looking for a quick way to record decent audio to your computer, but don't want to get involved with complicated interfaces, and also can't stomach the USB mics you've already seen on the market? Well, how about a USB mic from a company that makes really expensive studio microphones? No, not BLUE (though they've already got one). It's AKG! They recently announced their first second* foray into the world of bus-powered, integrated-interface condenser microphones with the AKG Perception 120 USB!
The Perception 120 USB takes the manufacturer's budget-friendly, large-diaphragm condenser microphone and slaps a simple, one channel USB interface into the underside. The interface is capable of up to 24-bit, 128kHz analog-to-digital conversion, which is higher that even most entry-level USB interfaces.
Other than easy Windows and Mac OSX integration, the Perception 120 USB features an internal pop-filter, a switchable high-pass filter, and a -20db pad.
Packaged with a swivel mount, a desktop tripod stand, and a USB cable, the AKG Perception 120 USB makes for a tidy little computer recording package. Pricing is TBA.
*oh yeah, the Perception 100 USB.
