Alesis GuitarLink Plus Connects A Guitar To A Computer, Includes Guitar Rig LE
At the 2011 Winter NAMM Show, Alesis announced the new GuitarLink Plus, a single cable that connects a guitar to a computer and creates an instant effects rack using Native Instruments Guitar Rig (included). Available as a simple, streamlined studio solution, the GuitarLink Plus allows any guitarist to go from guitar to computer with just one cable.
According to Alesis, the GuitarLink Plus easily connects guitars and other line-level audio sources directly into a computer. The GuitarLink Plus offers internal, analog-to-digital conversion, which brings studio-quality, 16-bit, 44.1 kHz digital-audio straight to a computer from 1/4-inch to USB. With the GuitarLink Plus, there is no need to install drivers, since the GuitarLink Plus connects plug-and-play-style to a Mac or PC.
To make the process of adding effects even easier, the GuitarLink Plus comes with Native Instruments Guitar Rig LE software, which you can use to begin processing the signal once the guitar and computer are linked. Guitar Rig LE shapes a guitar sound with many emulations of classic amplifiers and effects pedals, and guitar performances can even be recorded within the software.
Features:
- Connect guitars, basses, or line-level audio source to USB for recording
- 16-bit, 44.1 kHz digital audio output
- Internal analog-to-digital conversion system
- Plug-and-play connection for Mac and PC
- 16.5-foot length (5m)
- Compatible with most Mac and Windows (32-bit) class-compliant drivers and software
Alesis notes that the GuitarLink Plus is the no-hassle way of running a guitar through a computer and making it sound better than ever.
"Alesis has a long tradition in developing smart studio solutions for musicians," said Dan Radin, Product Manager, Alesis. "GuitarLink Plus continues this tradition by giving guitarist a simple, yet powerful, way to process and record their instrument."
