Alesis iMultiMix 9R: More Docking Means More Rocking
February 18, 2008
Alesis knows that the iPod is firmly ingrained into the fabric of society now, and the iMultiMix 9R mixer now adds iPod docking capabilities to a rack-mountable mixer. The iMultiMix 9R was shown at Winter NAMM 2008 -- a compact and rack-mountable mixer with not only an iPod player, but five mic/line inputs, all with inserts.
Owners of the iMultiMix 9R also get 2-band EQ on every channel. Solo acts can now use their iPods as backing bands [though that would be pretty lame]. However, the 9R would be great for parties -- localizing all mixing.
In addition to 60mm faders, the iMultiMix 9R has these iMportant features:
- Integrated Universal Dock for iPod
- Five high-gain mic/line preamps [XLR and 1/4" balanced]
- 48V phantom power
- Aux sends and returns
- Two band per channel EQ with High/Low shelving
- Suggested retail price: $399.00
