Unlike the existing speakers in the TourMax line, the new SX153 and SX254 speakers feature a three-way, 15" design. The SX153 is a passive 3-way 15" speaker cabinet capable of handling 350W RMS, 700W Program, and 1,400W Peak. It has a single 15’ low-frequency driver, an 8" mid and 1’ high-frequency driver.

The SX254 hosts two 15" low-frequency drivers, an 8" mid, and 1" high-frequency driver. The SX254 is also a passive three-way speaker cabinet and handles 700W RMS, 1,400W Program, and 2,800W Peak.

According to Alto, TourMax delivers a backline that will endure the rigors of heavy use night after night, while maintaining a sound that is loud and clear. TourMax speakers offer a true representation of the audio passing through them, rather than emphasizing certain frequency ranges for effect; this, Alto says, gives musicians and engineers the freedom to sculpt the sound from scratch or project the audio without any colorization.

Ready to endure some serious abuse, TourMax speakers have rugged, wood cabinets made of 13 mm Baltic Birch. TourMax speakers are ideal for use onstage in a club, in a rehearsal room, on the road, or in a house of worship.
