Alto Professional Truesonic Speakers Ship: Powerful Passive Loudspeakers And Active Subwoofers

Alto Professional is shipping four models in the Truesonic line of speakers.

From its home base in Rhode Island, Alto Professional announced the availability of four new Truesonic speakers: the TS112, TS115, TSSUB15, and TSSUB18. Now shipping to pro audio retailers, these models round out Alto Professional's Truesonic line, which was shown earlier this year at the 2011 NAMM Show.

The Truesonic TS112 and TS115 offer an 800W and 1000W peak power rating, respectively, and each model features a durable, lightweight polypropylene enclosure that is either stand-mountable for weekend gigs or flyable for permanent installations. According to the manufacturer, the cabinet’s trapezoidal design greatly decreases the resonance in the cabinet for a more true and exact sound reproduction.

In addition, the TS112 and TS115 each come with a complete front grille from top to bottom that protects not only the low-frequency driver, but the high-frequency driver as well. Just so you know, the TS112 is rated at 400W program and 200W continuous, while the TS115 is rated at 500W program and 1,000W continuous.

As for the Truesonic TSSUB18 and TSSUB15, these active subwoofers offer a massive 18-inch LF long-excursion driver and 15-inch LF long-excursion driver, respectively. Tuned to provide deep, thundering low-end, the TSSUB18 and TSSUB15 are capable of producing sound from 42 Hz to 125 Hz (for the TSSUB15) and 37 Hz to125 Hz (for the TSSUB18). Both offer stereo inputs, an internal active crossover, and they are both housed in rugged, compact, 18 mm Baltic Birch cabinets. Each one offers a whopping 1,200W of power and features a 3-inch voice coil.
