Like all things, the Crosstalk Black Metal Riff-Off must eventually die. Autopsy results will be available on Crosstalk.  

In 2003, tragedy befell the patrons of a Chicago club that had been ordered by the courts to close its doors months earlier. Now, Chicago musicians and promoters are paying for the city's inability to correct its own mistakes.  

If you didn't have time to get in your black metal riff, we're extending the date. Also, our email server experienced some problems earlier this week. If you have sent in a riff and haven't received a confirmation email, please resubmit it to crosstalk@gearwire.com.  

This is the best of Gearwire as selected by Bill Holland and Patrick Ogle. We tried to get Mo Rocca, Jim Breuer, and the rest of the B-List stars that live on VH1 now, but they were too busy -- oh wait, no they weren't.
