Apogee Ensemble Mobile Unveiled At AES
For the recording artist on the go, Apogee Electronics Corporation has introduced the Ensemble Mobile. Based off of their Ensemble digital audio interface, the Ensemble Mobile is, as its name implies, a more portable version that runs on batteries.
The Apogee Ensemble Mobile is designed to work specifically with Apple Mac computers, and it features control functions build directly into Logic Pro, Soundtrack Pro, and GarageBand.
The Ensemble Mobile is also a multi-channel interface, delivering a whopping 36 channels of simultaneous audio - eight of which feature Apogee's legendary A/D/A conversion, four are transparent, digitally controlled 75dB mic preamps, eight channels are devoted to ADAT I/O, and two channels are S/PDIF. The Ensemble Mobile also connects to your Mac via FireWire.
The Ensemble Mobile is powered by an industry standard XLR-4 connector or an optional AC to DC power adapter, which is included with the unit.
