Apple MainStage Takes Logic Studio Live

Apple MainStage From Logic Studio

Most studio software packages do not conjure up ideas of crossover onto the live stage, but with Apple MainStage, that is exactly what Apple Logic Studio aims to do. MainStage is an application that brings the software instruments and effects from your Mac to your controller on stage so that the great sounds you've been using in your recording can shine live.

One big point for MainStage is the easy to read interface. It's created with hi-res graphics that display well in low light situations. Users can resize the graphic interface, making this easy to use whether you're "Maverick" from Top Gun or Mr. Magoo.

MainStage also operates with any MIDI or USB compatible controller whether its a standard keyboard controller, a drum pad, or a pedal board. MainStage layouts, a learn function, and auto-detect settings for most popular controllers make setup simple and parameter reassignment manageable.

For keyboard racks, MainStage provides lots of options in terms of layering and splitting the range of classic, vintage synths as well as hundreds of other sampled sounds. Guitarists are privy to Guitar Amp Pro, which provides 11 different amp models paired with 15 speaker cabs, a variety of mic setups, and access to effects. Both keyboardists and guitarists can expand their sonic palate with third party plugins as well.

MainStage is key for stage performance, and it makes Logic Studio more than just a studio application.
