Based off of the venerable Marshall JTM45, the Aracom Amplifiers CUSTOM 45R one ups this classic by pretending to be an old dog and mockingly learning new tricks. More specifically, however, the CUSTOM 45R was modeled after a specific JTM45 -- the KT66 power tube equipped original JTM45 from the mid-sixties that Aracom just happened to have in studio. To replicate the tone, the CUSTOM 45R is handwired with a hand-built turret board, reissue Mustard style capacitors, vintage spec'd resistors and custom wound transformers. Staying true to the model, the CUSTOM 45R is fitted with KT66 power amp tubes, which make the amp more versatile without making it any less accurate.

The CUSTOM 45R also features built-in, tube driven spring reverb as a standard feature. That's what the R stands for, so it's kind of a big deal. The reverb tone naturally mixes well with the 45R's desired JTM45 tone. A Hi / Low B+ voltage switch also allows you to switch this amp between 40 and 20 watt operation, so you can half the wattage for cranked tone that won't get you fined for noise violations.

Aracom also includes a PPI-Master Volume design which maintains overdriven tones without getting "buzzy" like select other configurations get. Combine this with the Hi / Low B+ switch and this amp is a lady in the bedroom and a freak in the streets, which won't please Pretty Rick.

More on switching, the CUSTOM 45R features a bright switch in case you forgot your Blu Blockers. JTM45 too bright for you? Just flip the cut switch and tone it down a tad. A bite switch adds some gain to the mids for a little something extra.
