Blue Coconut Echo Verb: Six-Head Tape Delay/ Reverb
This box was created to improve on the basic concept of a tape echo/reverb. Those imrprovements include low noise circuitry and the ability to select any combination of the six tape heads. A precision-made flywheel eliminates tape wow and flutter.
That may actually disappoint some analog-heads, but this unit seems to have been designed squarely with the echo and reverb effects in mind rather than analog audio artifacts or side effects of the tape transport mechanism.
Check out the specs on this amazing box, then learn more about it in Joe Wallace's exclusive audio report. Click the link below to hear the down-low on the Blue Coconut Echo Verb and much more:

- Low-noise circuitry
- A microprocessor used for silent switching only and to let ECHOVERB to give reverb from the tape. (The microprocessor is not used to create echo or reverb -- it is there purely for the silent switching).
- Dual colour illuminated tip switches
- Balance wheel and regulated motor circuitry for stable speed
- Input level meter backlit when clips turn red
This unit was years in development. It's a ground-up design made to overcome the limitations of older tape echo/reverb units. No emulation or modelling technology here! This is a 100% original piece of gear that hits the market in late October. Learn all about it by clicking the audio file.
