Software tutorial maker ASK Video Interactive Media wants to make sure you know what you're doing in Digidesign Pro Tools. For that reason, the company is now shipping the Pro Tools 8 Level 3 Tutorial DVD (Mac/Win; $49.99), which is part 3 of 4 in the ASK series of Pro Tools 8 instructional videos.

In about three hours' time, Pro Tools 8 Level 3 delves into the advanced features of Pro Tools 8 HD, LE, and M-Powered. The tutorial explains how to share sessions with other DAWs, correct audio at the sample level, and mix in surround. Once those topics are mastered, the tutorial goes further, covering advanced file management, advanced automation, side-chaining, mastering, dithering, and advanced MIDI. Those wanting even more advanced topics will have to wait for the final installment of the DVD series to ship.

Levels 1, 2, and 3 are now available for $49.99 each, and will be available together as a bundled set for $179.99 when Level 4 is released.
