Audio-Technica SpectraPulse Wireless Avoids RF Traffic With Ultra Wideband Operation At AES
Audio-Technica had some noteworthy items at AES; the microphone makers were showing their new SpectraPulse Ultra Wideband wireless mic system which provides very clear and articulate wireless sound quality from A-T.
The key to the quality audio comes from the avoidance of the RF environment for clearer paths and cleaner set-up. This freedom allows uninterrupted transmission - RF competition, frequency hunting, and white space issues will have to look elsewhere to get their their mischievous jollies.
A-T was first out of the gate for the commercial use of UWB (Ultra Wideband) technology soon after it had been licensed by the FCC - a group more commonly known for censoring Eminem and not letting him be himself. UWB allows data to be transmitted sans wires via short-duration pulses over a wide frequency spectrum for more precisely timed and reliable data transmission.
The revolutionary SpectraPulse System is set up a little differently than your normal wireless system and includes the following components:
- mtu101 Microphone Transmitter Unit
- drm141 Digital Receiver Module
- aci707 Audio Control Interface
- cei007 Charger Encryption Interface.
