Heads up, musicians, recording artists, bands, and songwriters -- Audio-Technica is once again sponsoring the 15th Annual USA Songwriting Competition for the 11th time in a row, offering 20 of its microphone and headphone products as part of the competition’s prize packages.
As part of the competition’s prize packages, Audio-Technica has provided four AT4040 Cardioid Condenser Microphones, two ATM450 Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphones, ten ATH-M40fs Precision Studio Headphones, two AT2041SP Studio Microphone Packs, and two ATM610 Hypercardioid Dynamic Handheld Microphones. These prizes accompany the competition's other noteworthy prizes, such as radio airplay, $50K in cash and merchandise, and more.
Even though the entry period has already ended, knowing what the prizes are gives you an extra incentive to cheer on your friends or yourself, if you have already entered the competition. Winners will be chosen by industry pros, including record label publishers; producers; A&R from Universal Music, Warner, EMI, and Sony Music; and other distinguished professionals. Competition winners will be announced on November 15, 2010.
According to A-T and the event directors, the USA Songwriting Competition is currently the longest-running consecutive-year songwriting competition. Last year’s contest saw 34,900 entries from around the world and past winners have gone on to receive recording contracts, publishing contracts, and acclaim by getting their music placed in film and television. Winning songs have been featured on the syndicated Acoustic Café Radio Show and Sirius XM Radio.
Via the competition, songwriters, original solo artists, and bands from anywhere around the world have the chance to get their songs heard on the radio and elsewhere, as well as win prizes and recording gear from Audio-Technica.
