Avant Electronics AVANTONE CK-40 Announced

October 31, 2007
Avant Electronics releases CK-40 stereo mic

The AVANTONE CK-40 from Avant Electronics makes its mark as their latest Stereo FET microphone which Avant believes is just as capable of a performer as some of the world's finest without the bloated price tag.

Housed in a brass body with equally brass capsule assemblies, the CK-40 does more than just look classy. Its class A Low-Noise FET circuitry yields professional quality sound. It works effectively for miking vocals, room, piano, or pretty much anything a versatile condenser should be able to pick up.

The stereo FET CK-40 brings a pair of large 35mm center-terminated transducers aligned tightly in the microphone's slim vertical array keep phase issues out of the CK-40's accurate stereo imaging. The top capsule can also rotate 180 degrees to form an XY-pattern.

Included with the CK-40 are a 5-Pin mic cable and a 1x2 stereo splitter box so connectivity isn't a hassle. Just plug two XLR cables from the splitter box to your phantom powered input channels and you're all ready to go.
