BaseHead BaseHead 2.0: It's Not A Bass Head
Not to be confused with the "Bass Head 2.0", BaseHead 2.0 is a sound-effects database. It organizes your SFX library according to meta-data, and employs a number of thoughtful features to make browsing, focused searching and previewing a cinch. BaseHead automatically scans your hard drive for audio and compiles a database that it can then present numerous and various search arguments to. Results can be easily previewed, and quick and painless drag-and-drop importing (of whole or partial files!) into a variety of popular DAWs and editing programs is supported.
Originally developed for in-house use at BaseHead, the SFX database is now available to you for a free 30-trial, and a $249 purchase when the time comes.
The new version 2.0 features the following updates, organized and presented to you via UnorderedList v2.0:
- Waveform caching w/ Slip Silence playback
- Multichannel file playback
- Music MP3 ID3 support
- 49 fields of viewable Meta-Data
- File Browser and metadata Tag Viewer windows
- a Pitch Slider
- Quick switching between databases
- Multi-line BEXT support in Tag Viewer
- Reaper and Vegas target app support now added
- SoundMiner metadata import from BWAV's
- Injects added descriptions back into the BWAV files
- Can be used to replace WMP as your default media player now
- Multiple skins and much much moreā¦
For those of you who got on the BaseHead bandwagon early, the upgrade from previous versions to 2.0 is $79 US for the next 30 days and $99 thereafter. See, I was gonna say "good things come to those who wait" but now I'm saying "don't delay." DON'T DELAY!!!
