A Video Tour Of Behringer's China Factory

A video your of Behringer's Chinese factory bu Chris Holder

Not being a blog surviving on the content of others, Gearwire doesn't post many YouTube clips. But when Chris Holder, Editorial Director of Australia's Audio Technology magazine was invited to bring his video camera on a tour of Behringer's Zhongshan, China factory complex and posted his ten minutes of film on YouTube, we couldn't pass up the chance to pass along the goodness to Wireheads. Chris's great work lets us see what exactly it looks like to crank out 60,000 speakers a month, among other things. Check it out, then check out Part 2 below.

Presenter: Chris Holder, Audio Technology Magazine

Thanks for posting this. I have no interest in Behringer gear, but what a cool report. I always try to be as conscience as I can about how the product I buy is being made, under what kind of conditions. This was a very interesting look into that. I personally try to buy the bulk of my gear from the Western countries if it all possible. I'll pay that premium if it's a better product made by someone who's passionate, but I think this showed a fair look into what one company is doing overseas.

I love this Documentary!!!

By: AROtotheN
I just keep watching it. At least 10 times already. The only Behringer gear I've used is a Eurorack UB1202 (mini-mixer for band vocals) and the GM110 Vintager guitar amp (30w w/ 10" Burgera.) The GM110 is a surprising delight to play, and was quite cheap ($70USD.) I realize that just about everything they produce is a reverse engineer of other products on the market (that GM110 it a Tech21 rip-off) but I don't care. I'm poor and really appreciate Behringer's economics.

It's pronounced Bear-In-Gur not Bear-In-Jer, the G is like 'gorilla', not 'ginger'

I JUST LOVE MY BEHRINGER GEAR

By: Chris Ducker

Thanks for posting these videos! Some of my more ignorant friends have been laughing at me for years for my frugal purchases, many items being Behringer. But I've known all along that that laughter was nothing more than red harems because they didn't have as nice of a setup as I do. And now, I can show them these videos and say, "the truth shall set all you nay sayers free".

Behringer, A good product at a fair price.

By: Dave Macka

Your attempt at journalism was a poor effort.
What is wrong with the Behringer product any way.
Good quality control doesn't need soul.
The thing is it is fairly priced and meets the specs.
What's smart about contributing to a ceo's fat cat salary and yearly bonuses. Much of the so called pro gear is just so over rated. With modern electronic technology and manufacturing there is no longer secrecy to electronics as there used to be.Your so called report seemed to radiate
negativity of the success of Behringer. When I was a boyI would have given an arm or leg for a condencer or ribbon mike. Now young musos don't need to be the elite to have reasonable gear to perform. How much was made in the past by companys who secretly manufactured in china and never passed on savings but rather made huge profits. Behringer
is a good product reasonably priced. That's why the DYNOSAURS don't like it. It's interfered with thier profits. The so called producer needs to modernise himself
and step outside the circle of the old guard who used smoke and mirrors to prevent tallented people from making
music and working with sound gear and such.Behringer is a good product at a fair price, hope you chern out many more products year after year for everyone and not just the so called elite, good on you Behringer your Great.Good Waranty , looks good sounds great.excellent service.
