Bell Custom Guitars JazzBlaster Special: New, Special-Edition Guitar Introduced
Hand-made, custom guitars just got even more special, thanks to the release of the Bell Custom Guitars JazzBlaster Special.
This special-edition version of the JazzBlaster guitar has a wider tonal range than the normal version, which makes it easy to get both classic and modern tones. Like all of the instruments by the Mansfield-based Bell Custom Guitars, the JazzBlaster Special is hand-built and custom-made to order.
The JazzBlaster Special is shown here in a translucent white finish. It features 15 internal super bright LEDs that light up the clear acrylic sections of the body. This guitar sports 22 frets on a rosewood fretboard, a scale length of 25.5 inches ending in a 1.695-inch width at nut, chrome hardware, a mother of pearl pickguard, a control plate and truss cover, swamp ash and acrylic body, and a maple set neck. The Bell Custom Guitars JazzBlaster is shown above with green LEDs engaged.
About the new guitar, Paul of Bell Custom Guitars says, "We wanted to improve the already spectacular tonal range and striking appearance of the JazzBlaster. We've achieved it with the addition of multi-functional pickups, neck binding, and rectangle mother of pearl inlays."
Special-edition JazzBlaster features:
- Body type: Swamp ash / acrylic
- Pickups: Multi-function pickups
- Neck: Maple set neck
- Bridge: String through body
- Finish: Translucent white
- Fretboard: Rosewood, 22 frets, bound
- Scale Length: 25.5"
- Neck Width at nut: 1.695"
- Hardware: Chrome hardware, mother of pearl pickguard, control plate, truss cover
- Illumination: 15 internal bright LEDs
The JazzBlaster Special as shown costs $3,149 and may be painted in your choice of color. According to the manufacturer, the addition of the multi-function pickups allow for numerous tonal combinations because of their unique ability to split into single coils using both screw and slug magnets, as well as their ability to run the humbuckers in series or parallel. With a swamp ash and acrylic-fused body, the tone of the wood is maintained while making a more clear, focused sound. This fusion of materials is said to provide crisp, sharp highs and smooth, rounded lows.
