Beyerdynamic MANUFAKTUR: German Words In All Caps Frighten Me

ANTHONY ZAMMIT: Hey. I'm Anthony Zammit with Beyerdynamic, and we're going to talk a little bit about MANUFAKTUR, which is a new option we have for buying headphones.
They've been available for some time in Germany and soon to be available in the U.S., probably in the beginning of 2009, and what it is is you can go online to our website and you can design and purchase directly from us your own headphones that will be produced and handmade in Japan like all our other headsets.
Three options you have are DT 770, 990, and 880 which is our standard closed, open, and semi-open headphones, and you have a lot of options to design. Here we have chosen a DT 990, and first the technology I can choose the impedance that I want. I can choose 250 Ohm, 32, or even 600 Ohms if I need for such an application. So I might choose a 250-Ohm, kind of a standard. I can have a straight or a coiled cable, and then where I really get to individualization is the design portion of it where I can choose my own colors and designs for everything from the housing to the headband, so I can make it as interesting, as pretty, or as ugly as I might make it here, whatever might be unique to my particular taste, my particular design.
Personalization: I can even get in here and do my own engraving on here. I can do something like "AES 2008" and have that. You know, you can put your name, your company, your production company, you're a DJ or whatever it is, you can have it on there. And you'll be able to save this all on the web site and send the information in. I will be handmade for you in Germany and shipped direct to you.
I do have a couple of examples right here of some actual live versions of what you can do. Again, this is a kind of any interesting color scheme, sort of a fluorescent blue and a purple, and again some of them have various strange designs, as pretty or as ugly or as unique as you want to make it, and they are the same quality as our standard DT Series Professional Headphones, and they are something that a lot of people are very excited about; a Very unique thing that we have to [INDISCERNIBLE].
