BG Pups Bucker Clear Tops And BG Pups MM90

They say good things come to those who wait. If that's the case for guitar pickups, then these new handwound units from BG Pups must sound exceptionally good, indeed. A look at these classy pickups' specs and a quick listen to the demo MP3s on the BG Pups site, and you'll be inclined to become a more patient guitarist. The BG Pups Bucker Clear Tops feature an Alnico 5 magnet, nickle plates base and pole pieces, wax potting and a see-thru top plate for admire the tidy hand-windings.

The BG Pups Reissue Mean Green Limited is a P90-sounding single-coil made to fit the newly reissued Gibson Melody Makers. The MM90s use Nickel baseplates, Dual ceramic 8 magnets, and "Mean Green" magnet wire. They're wound between 7.5-7.8k with NOS Gibson Clear T Top bobbin from the late 70s early 80s and Gold Poles.

The Bucker Clear Tops will cost you $100 US a piece and the MM90s go for $80 US each. Both pickups can be previewed and ordered through the www.norcalguitars.com website
