Bitworld.com EXPANSE Expands Reason's Combinator

June 12, 2008
Bitworld EXPANSE

Bitworld has released a special version of their EXPANSE collection for Propellerheads Reason 4. EXPANSE pools together multi-sampled 24-bit waveforms that can function as instruments, drones or tonal beds. Its tones range from traditional to ethereal, but stray moderately from the ordinary.

For this Reason version, EXPANSE includes custom made Combinator patches that permit control over timbre, envelope, space, motion and more relative to patch structure. The instruments in EXPANSE will be great inspirational origins for all types of scoring, but that certainly isn't the functional limit.

Each patch is also programmed with mod wheel support. In total, this one GB library has 133 NN-XT instrument patches and 145 Combinator patches. Patches are broken down into the following categories:

  • Combinator
    • Fast attack
    • Slow attack
    • Variant
  • NN-XT
    • Fast attack
    • Pads
    • Strings
    • Vocal
    • Weird
