Blackbird Guitars Ferrari Rider Carbon Fiber Travel Guitar: Cross-Bred Ferrari And Guitar
Supercar enthusiasts can now get the same thrill from a guitar as they would from a $250K vehicle, at a much more pocket-friendly price. Blackbird Guitars has put the spirit and style of Italian Ferraris into its limited-edition Ferrari Rider Carbon Fiber Travel Guitar, and even had a number of them signed by F1 drivers Philipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen.
Like a supercar, the Rider travel guitar is meant to go on the road. Its compact size allows it to fit in the trunk of a sports car, while its lightweight, carbon-fiber body provides long-lasting durability and travel practicality. The carbon-fiber body is less than two-thirds the size of a standard acoustic guitar, yet it provides a near equivalent tone that sounds like it came from a much bigger instrument, according to the manufacturer.
The guitar recalls expensive cars with its sleek, glossy black surface, Maranello Red interior, accented red A string, and Ferrari Scuderia emblem. The Rider travel guitar also features a hollow neck with a Stereo Sound Port in the head of the guitar, asymmetric acoustic design with offset sound hole, full scale length (24.5 inches), a 3D sculpted back for improved ergonomics, and optional electronics for producing amplified tones.
Although the first run of the Ferrari guitar series is now sold out, Blackbird Guitars is accepting custom orders. To learn more, visit the Blackbird Guitars Web site.
