BLUE BottleRocket Stage 1: Hitting The Bottle At 125th AES 2008
BLUE microphones pops the cork on some more budget-minded versions of their Bottle microphone with the new BottleRocket mics. The BottleRocket Stage 1 is a Bottle Cap capsule switchable mic that offers home studio engineers BLUE's most versatile innovation without having to give up too much GREEN. This solid state version MAPs at around $700, and considering it includes a capsule that maps at around $600 on its own, that's a pretty sweet deal.
[PH] ZIONA YOUNG: Hi. My name is Ziona Young. I work for Blue Microphones. We make very application-specific microphones for whatever. Whatever application you need, we've got a microphone for it.
Our new microphone for the show is the BottleRocket Stage 1 right here. T's a solid state microphone, and it ships with a V8 capsule which is similar to our Bluebird microphone capsule, and the nice thing about it is MAPs for $699, so you can get into that Bottle modular system with the versatility of the capsules without having to shell out $4,000 for a bottle mic, so and you get solid state sound which is a different flavor than the tube sound of a bottle mic.
