Now shipping, the new Mikey takes the best features of the original Mikey and adds improved circuitry, enhanced portable recording, and more for the Apple iPod. The portable recorder for iPod features two custom-tuned Blue capsules, a sleeker design than the original, and an improved acoustic circuit that allows for higher quality recordings of high-volume events such as concerts, raves, and so forth.

The second-generation Mikey sports a 3.5 mm line-input for direct recording of other sound sources, plus a USB pass-thru connection to allow for simultaneous charging and syncing. Its updated case design makes the unit compatible with most protective cases, and it also features a 230-degree range of adjustability with seven detent positions for perfect positioning. In addition, the new Mikey comes with a soft carrying pouch for convenient protection and portability.
