Blue Cat Finds The Remote
Blue Cat Audio, makers of fine VST plug-ins for Windows-based DAW software have brought the issue of MIDI control back to the drawing board with their new suite of plugins, Remote Control 1.0.
Remote Control tackles the problem of MIDI device control by centralizing the control of such devices from a single interface. Whether hardware or sofwtare, Remote Control serves as a virtual MIDI control surface and monitoring tool. You can control or monitor in realtime any plugin that takes MIDI or any external MIDI device.
This capability, combined with a skinning language (included with the Remote Control suite) allows the creation of a custom controller that centralizes your functions and monitoring as well as fully supporting automation. This is a unique technology that can turn the DAW model on its head, moving from a tapedeck-with-plugins model to a giant virtual controller with recording functions beneath.
Remote Control 1.0 comes in VST or DirectX versions and comes at a special introductory price for the time being.
