BOSS ME-25: Every Generation Is The "ME" Generation
January 14, 2010
If you grew up playing guitar in the late eighties, you're gonna relive a lot of memories while watching this video: virtuosic shredding, gigantic hair, and a compact BOSS multi-effect unit. Only, this video was shot yesterday at the 2010 Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, and the pedal in question is the new BOSS ME-25. See and hear it in all its COSM-powered glory.

Boss guitar pedals
Why oh why oh why do Boss have to demonstrate ALL their guitar pedals with metal shredders and pointy guitars !!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHhhhh
There are tons of "normal guitarist" out there who want to hear how it would sound in general use for gigs etc??
Anyone agree???
YEAH....I AGREE....GET A
YEAH....I AGREE....GET A NORMAL PLAYER TO DEMO THE UNIT WITHOUT ANY BACKGROUND ACCOMPANY
Huh?
What's this biz about "normal"? Did you even watch the whole thing?? He put the thing through its paces pretty well, if you ask me. If you don't like shred guitar, that's not our problem.

Boss Guitar Pedals
"Why oh why oh why do Boss have to demonstrate ALL their guitar pedals with metal shredders and pointy guitars !!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHhhhh"
+1
Why ? Because you can hide a lot of nasty tones with enough distortion
Nasty tones????
I didn't hear any "nasty" tones out of Robert.
The guy is a VERY CLEAN player.
Like others have mentioned, maybe he could have mellowed out the high-end on his high-gain sounds, but everything else sounded excellent to me.
From a female bass player to Robert, SHRED ON DUDE!
:-)
All the lead tones sound
All the lead tones sound really thin. Not for me.
The thin sounding leads?
The mellower stuff didn't sound thin.
The high-gain leads sounded more "high-endish" than thin.
The sounds just need a bit of tweaking is all. Not a big problem to deal with as long as you know how to build your own sounds.
Demo
This guy covered it all. Listen about 2:47 into the demo...sounded kind of smooth-jazz to me.
Robert is an excellent player...
