Brace Audio DWG-1000: Brace Yourselves For Digital Wireless And Obvious Title Cliches!

August 25, 2008
Brace Audio DWG-1000 released

I was sitting at my desk, admiring my hunky 'ceps when I realized that there hadn't been too much news about wireless guitar systems in a while; I mean, it seems like they've got the whole wireless thing down. Brace Audio DWG-1000 changes that drought and revitalizes the life support sustained world of wireless guitar system news.

The DWG-1000 features a transmitter module that converts the guitar signal into crispity, crunchity digital audio. It uses 2.4 GHz spread spectrum transmission to send the digitized signal to the receiver, much like Dr. Emmett Brown used 1.21 Jiggawatts to send a tricked out DeLorean through time. From there (either the receiver or the space-time continuum, take your pick), it's converted back to analog audio without signal loss or loss of high frequencies.

Brace Audio's digital technology also scoffs at UHF / VHF systems, calling them a thing of the past with their hisses and crackles and RF interference and whatnot. Brace Audio also extends a very elongated middle finger towards guitar cables, citing that they lose more signal than the DWG-1000 ever will.

Up to four units can operate simultaneously, so most bands should be covered. If not, just be sure that your band's most photogenic members reap the advantages of the DWG-1000 for their wild stage moves. Your bassist should probably be wired to the back so he can visually communicate with your drummer anyway.

For bass?

By: Evil Bass Player

not much info here, how does it fair with bass?
also 'Bass player wired to the back anyway' only a fool would let the guitarists steal all the limelight!

Stupid review. "It uses 2.4 GHz spread spectrum transmission to send the digitized signal to the receiver, much like Dr. Emmett Brown used 1.21 Jiggawatts to send a tricked out DeLorean through time."

Yeah, that's how it works...
