Now that Bricasti Design has released the M10 remote control for the M7 reverb processor, couch engineers everywhere are surfing through the channels and complaining that there are too many "reality reverbs" because reverb stations just aren't putting money into scripted reverbs anymore. And don't get me started on the commercials.  

Back with Matt Boudreau in San Fran's Broken Radio Studio, the Bricasti M7 Stereo Reverb is put through some rigorous field testing. Matt throws it on a dry piano track first, then puts the M7 through the real gauntlet: side-by-side comparisons with the studio's two actual plate reverbs, an Echoplate and an EMT 140. Bricasti is not afraid.  

Matt Boudreau -- proprietor of Broken Radio Studio in San Fransisco -- gives us his thoughts on the Bricasti Design M7, a stereo processor that does reverb and nothing else. Matt gave us the chance to audition this world-class processor at his studio, away from the manic exhibitor's floor at the 125th AES Convention.  

Though Bricasti sounds like some kind of pasta brand, it's actually not -- Bricasti makes high quality digital reverb processor. There's no noodling around on the M7 -- it's not a matter of finding a good reverb, it's a matter of picking which good reverb you want to use.
