FM Radios and Speaker Wire at American Science and Surplus
We're back in the Audio Tools aisle at American Science and Surplus, trying to figure out where everything came from and what we could possibly use it for. Cute technology has its place, and it's usually right here on north Milwaukee Avenue. In this installment we check out this little radio that looks kind of like a diving helmet with legs, and some random speaker wire. The excitement never ends.
See many items of questionable origin at the official American Science and Surplus site.

ROB WARMOWSKI: What else do we have here? Bubble FM Radios with curly antenna. What in the world is going on here? I don't really know but it's $2.95 a piece. How much sound can we get out of there? I can't really say. Let's see if we can get one that actually looks like it's supposed to.

I'm completely mystified. Is this some sort of beloved children's character from Korea that I don't know about? It could be, but this is what you actually get when you crack it open. It's $3.00 and it dials in FM radio, and as you can see also powered by two AAA batteries which helpfully come with. We'll put this back before they yell at us.

American Science is also very well known for having all kinds of inexpensive parts and pieces of the kind that you will need if you are doing various electronics projects and audio projects. Here we've got some speaker wire. Just for a mere buck and a quarter, you get about 50 feet of pretty decent speaker cable. You'll end up paying a premium for this kind of stuff if you don't buy it here so I definitely recommend checking it out at American Science.

I need awesome gear... I'd like a free gear catalog!
My opinion is awesome. I'd like to take a gear survey
