Burl B2 Bomber Slams Transformers; Optimus Prime Slams Back

Burl B2 Bomber At Summer NAMM

We check out the Burl booth where we see an A/D Converter with some serious attitude and high intensity tactility, the B2 Bomber. It proudly colors your sound, because after all, if every piece of equipment you own is transparent, what does your music sound like?

Think about that one for a while.

SPEAKER: This is the Burl B2 Bomber. It's a two-channel A to D converter from 44.1 to 192. What makes this different from all of the other A/D converters is that it's got tone, it's got soul, and it's got a sound. It's not trying to be transparent.

It's got two big, fat, juicy custom-wound transformers on the input and a remarkably stable clock and input level adjustment so you can slam those transformers and really get some saturation and harmonics out of them but not overdrive you’re A to D converter.

It's got a remarkably stable clock with two clock outputs and one clock input so it can lock into an external clock, but the main thing that makes it different is that when you turn these knobs, you really feel it, and it shows peak and RMS simultaneously. It's got a peak hold on it, output SPDIF and AES, and it sounds great! That's it.

I need awesome gear... I'd like a free gear catalog!
My opinion is awesome. I'd like to take a gear survey
