Cakewalk Sonar V-Studio 100 Now Shipping

Being introduced at MusikMesse last April 1st, Cakewalk Sonar users became excited about a small new piece of hardware that could mesh well with their DAWs. Boasting unprecedented flexibility given the number of roles it can perform as an interface, control surface, portable two-track recorder, and live music mixer, a lot of people have wanted to get their hands on this one. While some may have feared an April Fools' joke because of the three-month wait, fans need not worry anymore as Cakewalk has begun shipping worldwide the Sonar V-Studio 100.

Sonar V-Studio 100 is the ideal multipurpose tool for the musician on the go, regardless of whether he/she uses a PC or a Mac. When hooked to a computer via USB, it works as an 8-in, 6-out 24-bit audio interface and control surface. Independent from the computer, the Sonar V-Studio works as a two-track recorder you can use to record demos of your songs any time anywhere. Equipped with two XLR input ports with phantom power for your microphones, a Hi-Z port for directly plugging in instruments such as electric guitars and basses, and S/PDIF port for digital input provides you with all the input ports you need whether you're recording vocals or instruments. The six output ports that include four balanced TRS 1/4" jacks and two unbalanced RCA outs provide you with multiple monitoring options. Full transport controls, a 100-mm flying fader for control of volume, pan, or FX mix blend envelopes in selected channels, the ability to mute, solo, or arm tracks for recording from the V-Studio, 11 buttons and 5 rotary knobs that can be assigned to any parameter you decide to control, assignable footswitch, and LCD display provide a more than adequate array of controls for recording and mixing.

Bundled with Sonar VS, the DAW component of the package, along with a suite of virtual instruments and plugins, the Sonar V-Studio will be worth your while. If you wish to make use of your favorite DAW programs other than Sonar, such as Cubase or Logic, Sonar V-Studio 100 will work seamlessly. Compact, small, and versatile, the Cakewalk Sonar V-Studio 100 will certainly allow you to work at any situation you are placed in.
