Carl Martin Octaswitch: Loosely Translates To Eight Switches
Carl Martin's Octaswitch is the brainchild of Thomas Guldmann. It's a pretty simple concept based around the idea of simplifying their Combinator pedal.
With the Octaswitch, you can plug in your eight favorite effects pedals into eight individual, true-bypass loops and decide which combinations you want to use for each bank. With eight banks, this allows for a variety of effects combinations all made possible by the world's simplest and smallest DIP switches.
The Octaswitch is a mono-in and mono/stereo out unit with the option to use a buffered signal. It's powered by a pair of 9V batteries or the Carl Martin Big John Power Supply (any similar, regulated power supply will do).
The Octaswitch is poised to meet the demands of players looking for a unit to control their multiple stompboxes and effects. Creator Thomas Guldmann explains:
“The product had to be extremely simple to operate, it needed to consist of eight loops and eight programs, had to be 100% true bypass and needed to run on a 9V power supply.”
With the eight DIP switch configuration and true bypass switching that prevents popping during switches, Carl Martin is confident they'll satisfy player demands.
