Carl Martin Rock Bug Says Its The Best
If you're tired of your upstairs neighbor putting on his stomping boots and slamming his feet against the floor (or if you're tired of your downstairs neighbor putting on his stomping boots and slamming his feet against his ceiling) whenever you turn your amp on, check out the Carl Martin Rock Bug. It's an amp and speaker simulator and headphone rehearsal unit that gets powered up with a single 9V battery.
Guitar headphone amplifiers are no new idea, but the quest to improve them is what fueled Carl Martin to create the Rock Bug. Not surprisingly, they claim its the most realistic representation of a tube amp you can find in a headphone amp.
Once you plug into the Rock Bug, you can adjust volume, select between open or closed cabinet simulations and shred in private. If you want to bring in your favorite artists for an imaginary jam session, plug your MP3 or CD player into the stereo AUX inputs.
If you're feeling creative and want to sketch out some ideas onto a recording, you can use the balanced XLR out to connect to a mixing console or interface. The XLR out provides a variety of different live and recording functions. You can even DI out of the Rock Bug if your real amp explodes on stage.
