Cedar Audio DNS3000 Lays Down Noise-Suppressing Fire On AES Crowds
"Jolly" Fraser Jones from Cedar Audio gives us a look at the newest incarnation of his company's award-winning dynamic noise suppressors, the DNS3000. This sophisticated noise reduction unit pairs with a RTAS-supported plugin for remote operation from your Pro Tools projects; suppression of unwanted noise hasn't been this easy since the salad days of Pol Pot!.
In conclusion, the DNS3000 would like to thank God, its agent, and the members of the Audio Engineering Society for giving a simple, milk-fed noise suppressor from America's heartland the chance to pursue its dreams.
FRASER JONES: Hello. I'm Fraser Jones from Cedar Audio, and here we are at the AES Show in San Francisco. We're showing one of our brand new products here, and that is the DNS3000.
The DNS300) is a dynamic noise suppressor used for getting noise -- getting rid of noise in dialogue tracks and also live TV. The DNS3000 is a development of the dynamic noise suppression system that we've been selling for the last six or seven years. We got an Academy Award for this technology three years ago because we changed the way movies are made.
The NS3000 is the latest generation of that. It incorporates the dynamic noise suppression algorithms that get rid of the noise. It can interface with Pro Tools so you get dynamic automation, you can get snapshot automation controlled by Pro Tools, and you can get a fantastic result from this product, getting rid of noises like air conditioning noise, buzzes....
This is the Pro Tools remote control. The DNS3000 is controlled from Pro Tools via this RTAS plugin that is a remote control for the processing onboard of the DNS3000, the ultimate in noise restoration.
