Cedar Audio DNS One: New Dialogue Noise Suppressor Introduced As Pro Tools Plugin

February 25, 2010
Cedar Audio DNS One is a software-based dialogue noise suppressor that removes background noise from dialogue.

Cedar Audio has introduced the first of the DNS Series of plugins, the DNS One software-based dialogue noise suppressor.

Available as a Digidesign Pro Tools plugin, DNS One effectively removes background noise from dialogue and is said to offer the same quality performance as the DNS1500, DNS2000, and DNS3000. DNS One has a new user interface that allows you to control hundreds of channels of DNS (software and hardware, in any mix you choose) from a single Pro Tools host. It's ideal for all studio environments, especially for post-production projects for film, television, and video.

You control DNS One using the dedicated DNS Control System software for Pro Tools LE and HD systems, which lets you control as many instances of DNS One as your host system can support, plus up to 126 DNS2000s and / or DNS3000s. It integrates fully with Pro Tools automation and hardware control surfaces such as the Icon, D-Control, and D-Command. Further, the DNS Control System is compatible with DNS One, the DNS2000, and the DNS3000, enabling you to install DNS One alongside existing hardware units.

Pricing and availability will be announced at a later time. For more information, please visit cedaraudio.com.
