Pitcher Sword Productions and C. F. Martin & Co. announced the upcoming Martin Guitar Tour, a new concert series featuring signature Martin artists such as Jorma Kaukonen, Peter Rowan, Woody Mann, and numerous other Martin guitar-playing headliners.

The Martin Guitar Tour will launch at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on December 11, 2010 at The State Theatre in Easton, Pennsylvania, so those interested have plenty of lead time to plan on attending. According to Martin, future events in other markets around the country will be determined following this initial concert.

Artists set to perform at the December concert include Grammy nominee and and member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna), bluegrass singer-songwriter and Grammy award winner Peter Rowan, jazz master Woody Mann, and acoustic blues artist Rory Block -- all who have had their own Signature Martin Guitar designed by the company throughout the years. Other performers worthy of mention include mandolinist Barry Mitterhoff, American roots artist Tony Rice, Craig Thatcher, and some surprise guests. The concert event will be hosted by the company's guitar historian and director of artist and public relations, Dick Boak.

About the concert series, Boak comments, "I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of an event that will feature solo and ensemble performances by some of the most prominent guitar players in the world. For many years, we have wanted to collaborate in the creation of a Martin concert series like this. We are looking forward to seeing this concept take shape in the years to come."
