Cole Clark Guitars - The "Ridable" Lap Steel
SPEAKER What we have here are Cole Clark Guitars out of Australia, and they're made using mainly Australian woods, and what I'm holding in my hand is the Skate Lap, and it shows the versatility of Cole Clark guitars.
So what you have here is you have a lap steel that you can ride to your show. So you put the top on, step on it, and you go.
And the acoustic guitars, again, are primarily based with -- made with Australian woods. What you're looking at here is the Angel. It's the latest model. It's this grand auditorium small body. The top on that one is a Bunya, which is an Australian wood. It's a plantation wood which means it's harvested, it's environmentally friendly, it's 18% stronger than Spruce. This one's side is Rosewood which happens to be Indian. The back on that one is Blackwood. Blackwood is an Australian wood again.
Next here we have the basic dreadnought model. This is a fat -- This is what's referred to as a Fat Lady. It's an FL-18C. This happens to be a leftie. The top on this is Bunya again. You can see it's got a lot of character to it. It's got a lot of -- it's very appealing. The back on this one again is Blackwood. The neck on this one is a piece of maple. Everything is Australian wood except for the fretboard which is Rosewood here.
The pickup systems in these is one of the best around, and what you have in the pickup system is there's two elements to it. There is -- you have two parts. Firstly, it's all Cole Clark preamp pickup system. The bridge is six piezos basically. Also across the face here, you have a sensor, and it's basically part of the bracing itself so the brace is made into a sensor, and that sensor is also a pickup system, and when you blend the two you get a very true acoustic sounding guitar.
