Cort Guitars MR710-F: Updated Acoustic / Electric Guitar Introduced
For 2011, Cort Guitars has reinvented the MR710-F guitar with improved electronics, multiple abalone rosette inlays, body and neck binding, advanced scalloped X-bracing, and genuine bone nut and saddle for enhanced tone.
The MR710-F is a dreadnought body, acoustic / electric guitar with cutaway made of a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides. The instrument's "C" shape neck is a little over 25-inches and is also made of mahogany, topped with a rosewood fingerboard. The guitar also sports a dovetail neck joint, Venetiain cutaway, ivory binding, white dot inlays, advanced scalloped X-bracing, and a rosewood bridge. According to the manufacturer, all of the woods used are selected for tonal qualities, aesthetics, and durability.
The new and improved acoustic / electric guitar is also equipped with the Fishman Sonicore pickup, which is located underneath the saddle to capture the full tonal capabilities of the instrument. The pickup is controlled by the onboard Fishman Classic 4T EQ system.
