Crate V Series Tube Amps

November 03, 2006
Crate V Series tube amps

Crate's V Series amps are retro-tube amps, with five configurations. You can get two-channel versions with digital effects built-in. Not bad for a tube amp, eh? But that ain't all, folks! The V Series has plenty of other groovy options including a five-watt practice/recording amp.

Check out the Crate page.

CRATE REPRESENTATIVE: Since the early days of Crate, we've been making tube amps, and the latest incarnation of tube amps is called the V Series. It has a retro look, real high quality, black with chrome grill, and there are actually five different configurations of the amplifier.

It has high quality features like Celestion speakers, Tone Tubby speakers offered as an option, Groove Tubes. The 212 and the V 50 112 are class AB, there are two channels, and they have digital effects built in, which is very unique for a tube amp. They have also EL34 tubes so in your gain section you can get a great heavy rock tone.

The V3112 and the V1512 are class A amps, which means that tubes run at full output all the time. The class A power is known for great dynamics and great tone, touch sensitivity. These amps are at a fraction of the cost of other class A amps on the market.

There's also a 5-watt class A amp called the V5, which would be great for recording and practice.

I need awesome gear... I'd like a free gear catalog!
