SAM HELNS: Hi guys, [PH] Sam Helns. I wanted to talk to you a little about the world's most popular touring headset microphone that has ever been developed by anyone. This has been worn by more stars that is out there. Every video, every MTV award shows, every tour that's out there you'll be able to see this microphone being used. There's several reasons why that is, and that's the reason why that no one else has come up with anything better.

To give you a little history, this microphone was developed quite a few years ago in conjunction with Garth Brooks. Garth Brooks was one of the first entertainers in the country who was able to take off into the audience and started running around into the audience and using his microphone in front of the stacks, and that gave recording engineers and the PA engineers just horror/nightmare because the system would go into feedback and they couldn't get any gain and if they bring the levels down solo then there's was no intelligibility and there was phase problems and everything else. So, Crown in conjunction with him developed this microphone from our Differoid technology, which is different from microphone technology whereby we actually take spacing between the air point of the elements and the capsule and implode it within the case and use phase differentiating between the microphone to cancel out noise on the outside of the element.

Basically, if I were to target you right now, the microphone would be off, the microphone would be on here. It's that tight of an application with regard to using the microphone. So there are many applications where a person who's using the microphone that they wear at all times and they'll either flip it up out of their minds or flip it down below the chin and use it and then come back on again. But the reality of this microphone is that it has more gain before feedback than any other microphone ever in existence in the world, and fact is that when I'm right here, I'm 40 dB down on the backside of this microphone, so it takes a lot of attenuation to actually implode into the microphone.

With that being the case, people like Phil Collins and those entertainers have used this quite a bit because when they're sitting there singing and playing drums, the drums never get into the microphone whatsoever. It's always he pans around the drums or he's using it in front of the microphone, he has no problem getting gain before feedback.

The other revolutionary part about this with all the phase cancellation and the differential technology that we've got built in here, you've got the ability of having really good quality high-level audio so someone can literally yell in this microphone and never overload the capability of the element inside the unit. So thus from a PA point of view, from an application point of view such as auditoriums or gymtoriums or very high ambient level situations, you can have a microphone like this and walk away in front of the PA system and then never feedback. This is something that no one else can offer in the industry at all.

We have several applications. There's obviously the wireless applications where you would have this box, but you also have the wired application where you can just take an XLR and plug in to this box right here. You have a battery compartment built in the bottom where you put the battery inside here. You've got the on-off microphone capability. You've got this push button here. This push button is programmable inside so you can have it as a cough button or a hard on and off or momentary, so you can program this button and do anything you want to. Obviously, it comes also in just a tail version so you can put every connector you want to based upon whatever wireless system you're using, and we give you all the adaptations to wiring diagrams and that nature to be able to plug up to your existing wireless microphone.

But again, the CM-311 is a microphone system like none other in the whole wide world and gives you the most gain before feedback with high-quality, high-level audio. Again, no one in the whole world can offer this, and that's the reason every major touring company, every major artist is out there in front such as Janet Jackson, all the backup vocalists for Michael Jackson, drummers like Phil Collins, a lot of the major entertainers are out there on the road and they -- the very sole application where they move all around, in front of the stacks, behind the stacks, the CM-311 has worked best than anything else, and that's the most acclaimed and asked for microphone in the industry right now, so....
