Cwejman S1 MK2: DJ Puzzle Examines A Semi-Modular Monophonic Analog Synthesizer
DJ Puzzle, known to his parents as Jason Donnelly, starts this video off by pronouncing one of the most awkward looking brand names in synthesis before showing us how to make a sine wave bassline with the Cwejman S1 MK2.
I made a sine wave bassline in second grade art class out of glue, macaroni, and glitter, but if you prefer to make them with semi-modular, monophonic, analog synths, you should probably stop reading this and watch the video.
Seriously, you have no choice because this is the last sentence.
JASON DONNELLY: The Cwejman S1 MKII. This is a semi-modular monophonic analog synthesizer. What I'm going to do in this demonstration is I'm going to walk you through setting this up to play a simple sine wave. We're going to start from the basics.
Right now I have [JASON DONNELLY PLAYING A NOTE ON THE CWEJMAN S1 MKII] sort of a jungle Hoover-esque bass/lead.

So I'm going to make this really simple. Let's set all of the knobs to a basic setting here. This is the oscillator 1 up here, the section, and then this is your mixer for the oscillators. So what I'm going to do is set this one up to sine wave. The other ones we'll work with later but I'll set those anyway.
Okay. So listen to the difference in sound as I shape this waveform into a simple sine. So you can hear the clicking. It's very subtle, and if you turn that oscillator up, there's your clicking. Very subtle. Decay, sustain [JASON DONNELLY PLAYS A NOTE ON THE CWEJMAN S1 MKII], and now wave [JASON DONNELLY PLAYING NOTEs ON THE CWEJMAN S1 MKII]. SO, a very popular bass sounding hip hop. Also it can be a nice lead like a Dre-type lead [JASON DONNELLY PLAYING A SIMPLE LEAD LINE CWEJMAN S1 MKII] with glide on it do we'll get a little portamento glide.

So that is a really basic [JASON DONNELLY PLAYING A COUPLE OF NOTES ON THE CWEJMAN S1 MKII]sine wave. We can tune it [JASON DONNELLY TUNING AN OSCILLATOR ON THE CWEJMAN S1 MKII], single oscillator sine wave [JASON DONNELLY PLAYING ACOUPLE OF NOTES ON THE CWEJMAN S1 MKII] where it makes for a really nice bass sound. Adjust the filter, the low pass filter, and you get different tones.
[JASON DONNELLY PLAYING A COUPLE OF NOTES ON THE CWEJMAN S1 MKII]I can add some overdrive to it so it's distortion. [JASON DONNELLY PLAYING A NOTE ON THE CWEJMAN S1 MKII]. Fatten it up a little [JASON DONNELLY PLAYING A COUPLE OF NOTES ON THE CWEJMAN S1 MKII] to a nice deep bass tone.
So that is a very basic sine wave on the Cwejman S1 MKII fully analog...,
[JASON DONNELLY PLAYING A COUPLE OF NOTES ON THE CWEJMAN S1 MKII]Awesome bass sound, killer Dre leads, and so there you have it. Stay tuned for even more with the Cwejman, and we will add a second oscillator in the next demonstration and we'll fatten this up, and eventually before you know it, I'll have you making some really sick, ass, dark jungle bass lines. This thing is awesome and nothing sounds like it, so this is Jason Donnelly with Gearwire.Com and you have been watching me demonstrate the C-W-E-J-M-A-N, Cwejman, on Gearwire.Com

what?
You really need to explain youtself much better.. not just say lets set these knobs to a basic setting.. what knobs? really that doesnt teach people much at all.
More explaination as to what EXACTLY your doing please. thanx.
