Danley Sound Labs Synergy Horn 64: Designed To Blow You Away As Pristinely As Possible
Loudness need not be harsh and can be as highly focused as Danley Sound Labs sets out to prove. Danley Sound Labs has just released its latest loudspeaker from its Synergy Horn (SH) line, the Danley SH-64. It is designed as a standalone system offering a broad range of applications for narrow coverage requirements that require high output at low distortion.
The high-output, low distortion design is composed of four 15-inch woofers, four 4" mid-frequency drivers, and a single 1.4" high-frequency driver in a patent-pending enclosure. The SH-64 is capable of generating 138 dB SPL with an input power rating of 2800 W and can cover a pattern of 60 degrees horizontal by 40 degrees vertical across a 50-Hz to 16-kHz frequency range (+ / - 3 dB). Sensitivity is at 103 dB SPL making it highly efficient for most applications.
The SH-64's design makes it ideal for narrow coverage applications such as houses of worship, commercial theater sound, discos, performing arts centers, and live music venues. The cabinet is made out of 13-ply Baltic birch, internally braced, coated with water-resistant polyuria (multiple-peeing) and a rugged steel grill. The SH-64 is fitted with Neutrik NL4 connectors. Powered and weathered options for the SH-64 are available as well as installed and touring versions. The touring versions come with handles and wheels for easy transportability.
